Membership of Queer Geography is open to anyone over 18 years of age who has permanent residence in Czechia, as well as anyone over 18 years of age (with or without permanent residence in Czechia) who shows interest in membership and agrees to the condition that all legal actions of QG and any disputes shall be resolved in Czechia and shall be governed under Czech law.
Membership in the association is based on a written application , which is approved by the QG Main Committee (or by the President) at its next meeting. All persons present at the founding meeting of the association shall automatically become the first members of the association.
The Main Committee may also grant honorary membership, based on the written consent of the honorary member, or, where appropriate, with the consent of a close person in memoriam. Honorary members are exempt from paying membership fees.
Membership lasts for one year from the date of payment of the annual membership fee. It may be renewed by paying a further annual membership fee (it is possible to renew membership on a repeated basis). Honorary membership shall be for an indefinite period. The membership fees shall be determined by the Main Committee.
The written* application must be made by completing the application form, the content and format of which is entirely at the discretion of the Main Committee, but must include as a minimum:*
i. the name, surname and title(s) of the applicant,
ii. the email address to which documents can be sent,
iii. a motivation letter.
*An electronic application is also considered to be a written application as long as it meets the requirements defined in the previous point.
